More support for Issue 23

Last week Ohio published report cards for its schools and that included the Walnut Township District here in Millersport.

Millersport Elementary achieved an EXCELLENT rating which is a whoppin’ Big Deal! While Millersport Middle & High Schools were rated EFFECTIVE, those of us close to the school know they were only a test score or two away from achieving the same EXCELLENT rating.

We heartily CORNgratulate all the teachers, staff, and administrators who have worked so diligently to make this happen. Besides investing in our kids academically, we are fortunate to have educators who deeply care for the students they teach, dedicated to their success well beyond the classroom.

On November 6th, residents of our district will have the opportunity to pass Issue 23, a Replacement

Levy that will assure Millersport Schools continue to have the resources necessary in preparing students for careers and livelihoods where their talents, gifts, & graces can be successfully employed. Further, this levy has been designed for the benefit of our senior citizens, drawing revenue only from wages, salaries, tips, and self-employment earnings while exempting all other forms of retirement income. You can read all about the specifics by going to: www.walnuttsd.org/

When Janet and I mailed our ballots in last week, we voted with confidence as we knew the benefactors were going to be the children and youth of this wonderful community. We urge you to join us and VOTE FOR Issue 23.

Still Investing in the Best,
Steve & Janet Bush
