The problem is with the fire chief

Editor:

Another Buckeye Lake Village Council and our council members still don’t get it. Maybe we need to invest in some hearing aides.

The fire department problem is not with the few remaining volunteers. It’s the total lack of leadership from the top officers.

Crickett, I have a message for you – don’t sit in your chair and lecture us about respect. I have the highest respect for firefighters and EMT’s. My Dad was on the Columbus Fire Department for years. His chief there was active and visible. He was at fires and went on runs.

That’s not the case with Pete Leindecker. If Pete had any respect for this village, he would resign. That would get the levy passed.

Pete is the one who should think about the good of the village and then do the right thing. The ball is in his court.
