Dale Eugene Forsythe
A funeral service, celebrating the life of Dale Eugene Forsythe, 83, of Harbor Hills, was held September 15, 2012, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of The HOSKINSON funeral and cremation service with Rev. Fr. William Ferguson as officiant. Burial, with full military honors followed at the St Joseph’s cemetery in St. Louisville.
Dale died September 11, 2012, in Evanston, Illinois. He was born March 28, 1929, in Thornville, the son of the late John and Lora B. (Weingardner) Forsythe. He was a graduate of Thornville High School, Class of 1946, served honorably in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was retired from the American Electric Power after 37 of service.
On February 14, 1953, he married Mary Janice Frischen, and they have celebrated 59 years together.
He was a member of the Hebron Post of the American Legion, and the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at Buckeye Lake.
He loved to travel, considered himself to be a “part-time farmer” and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his loving family: wife, Janice of Heath; son, Scott (Sandra) of Lewis Center; daughter, Kari (Will) Clarke of Wilmette, IL; grandchildren, Ashley, Matt, Ronan,J.P. and Tatum; brother, Wayne Forsythe; sister, Jean Ann Bashore; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob and Paul; and his sister, Janet.
