Linda Ann Parkinson
A funeral service, celebrating the life of Linda Ann Leavitt Parkinson, 69, of Buckeye Lake, was held September 12, 2012, in the Thornville home of The Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Service, with burial following at Zion Ridge Cemetery, Thornville.
Linda went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2012, in Newark, following an extended illness.
She was born January 1, 1943, in Columbus, the daughter of the late Elbert and Marguerite (Perry) Leavitt. She was a graduate of Thornville High School, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed serving her church at the food pantry and her granddaughters’ sporting events.
She was a long and dedicated member of the St John’s Lutheran Church on Linnville Pike, until her health prevented her from attending.
She is survived by her loving family: Andrew Parkinson of Hebron, Lori (Mace) Voehringer of Newark, Scott (Lisa) Parkinson of Somerset; granddaughters, Emily and Haley; sisters, Sharon Womax, Carol Cochran and Sue Yontz; brother, Donnie Leavitt; and many nieces and nephews.
