Harriet McNamee, age 88 and formerly of Millersport, passed away from a short illness on July 22, 2012, in Livermore CA. She was a devoted Christian, who loved her family, her church, and her Lord. She was a loving wife of the late Charles “Mac” McNamee.
Harriet was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty and Virgina; and brother, Robert.
She is mother to Mark Mc- Namee and Donna Ellis; motherin law to Janet; grandmother to Kelly Ellis, Jessica and Meghan McNamee; great-grandmother to Daniel, and Colton Wright, Amber Foersterling; and great-greatgrandmother to Daymin Walker. She has many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends in the Millersport, Columbus, and Cincinnati area. Harriet is survived by a brother, Richard R. Thomas and his wife, Dottie; brothers-inlaw, Dan Miller and Jack Myers; and sister-in-law, Ann Thomas.
Harriet was very active in the United Methodist Church, The United Methodist Women’s Association, TWIG, and was active in Bible Study. She worked for 28 years as a Clerk for Mike Albert Auctioneers.
There will be Memorial Service at the Millersport United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 12 noon, followed by a private graveside service at Union Evangelical Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in Harriet’s name to the American Cancer Society, National Kidney Foundation or charity of choice .
