James Harold “Jim” Loughman
James Harold “Jim” Loughman, 77, of Glenford, died August 23, 2012, at The Chapel Grove Inn, Heath, surrounded by his family.
James was born February 26, 1935, in Zanesville, the son of the late Harold and Evelyn Norman Loughman.
James worked as a tool and die maker, first at Roper, then later at Rockwell and finally Meritor, where he was awarded “1999 Employee of the Year”. He was active in Glenford community affairs, serving on the Glenford Council, and as a charter member of the Glenford Lions Club. He was also an active member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Glenford, the Shelley Park Board, and a volunteer for the Hopewell Fire Dept.
James is survived by two sons, Jeff (Linda) Loughman of New Concord, and Joel Loughman of Chicago, IL; a grandson, Kyle, and a granddaughter, Kari, both of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Marcia Jean (Ridenour) Loughman (2005); and a sister, Barbara Yost.
Services were held August 27, 2012, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Glenford with Pastor Beth Bateson officiating. Burial followed in Highland Cemetery.
