Buckeye Lake

• Aug. 16: A Highland Avenue man said someone stole his son’s bicycle from his yard.

• Aug. 16: A Duke service station employee reported a customer left without paying for $11.01 in gasoline.

• Aug. 18: Officers discovered a Newark man asleep at the wheel of his car in the Taco Bell drivethrough. After failing sobriety tests and blowing a 0.134, he was charged with OVI.

• Aug. 18: A Columbus woman said her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in Buckeye Lake Village.

• Aug. 18: A Duke service station employee reported two customers left without paying for $43.69 and $55.48 respectively in gasoline.

• Aug. 20: A driver was cited for traveling 50 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Walnut Road.

• Aug. 20: A driver was cited for traveling 47 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Walnut Road.

• Aug. 20: A Duke service station employee reported a customer left without paying for $35 in gasoline.

• Aug. 20: A driver was cited for traveling 46 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Walnut Road.

• Aug. 20: A Thornville man was cited for running a stop sign on Highland Avenue.

• Aug. 21: Officer assisted Licking County officials with a drug arrest on W. 1st Street.

• Aug. 21: A Dockside Drive woman said someone broke into her home and stole several items.

• Aug. 22: A driver was cited for traveling 46 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Walnut Road.

Hebron

• July 10: A driver was cited for a traffic light violation at East Main Street and Arrowhead Boulevard.

• July 10: A driver was cited for going 72 mph in a 50 mph zone on Ohio 79 at U.S. 40.

• July 10: A driver was cited for a traffic light violation at Main and High streets.

• July 11: A driver was cited for going 67 mph in a 50 mph zone on Ohio 79 at U.S. 40.

• July 11: Police were called at 3:51 p.m. about a fight involving several juveniles. Police spoke with three juveniles, one of whom had been punched in the face. Police took statements.

• July 11: A Canal Road apartment resident told police that a man he was problems with brandished a firearm at him near his resident. He didn’t want to press charges.

• July 12: A Broadway Street apartment resident complained about harassing text message from her former boyfriend. He agreed to stop texting her.

• July 13: A driver was cited for a traffic light violation at Ohio 79 and Enterprise Drive.

• July 13: Police took a report after a white van left the Kroger Fuel Center without paying for $60.92 of fuel.

• July 13: A Lakewood Drive apartment resident reported that someone had tampered with her door handle. There was no sign of force being used to enter the door.

• July 13: A Canal Road apartment resident reported buying a cell phone only to discover that it had been reported lost or stolen when he tried to have it activated.

• July 13: Police checked Broadway Street on a report of a vehicle during burnouts.

• July 14: A Canal Road apartment resident report the theft of $200 in cash.

• July 14: A Dennison Street resident reported the theft of a chain saw from the back of his pickup truck.

• July 14: A Canal Road apartment resident reported that her adult niece had failed to return from a July 13 concert.

• July 15: Police assisted a Licking County Sheriff’s Office deputy with a BAC test. The driver blew a 0.252.

• July 15: Police on patrol noticed a man loading tires into a pickup truck at Bowman Tire. The business was closed. The man showed police a paper that he claimed allowed him to pick up the tires. Police contacted the owner who said the man didn’t have permission to take the tires. He was told to unload the tires and to return during business hours to discuss picking up any tires.

• July 15: A juvenile called police after she got into a verbal argument with her parents over being grounded for her behavior.
