Dawes Arboretum - Ohio 13, three miles north of I-70.

Poetry in Nature Art Show - August 11-26. “Poetry in Nature” is the theme of The Arboretum and Licking County Arts’ annual art show. The show features artists from all over central Ohio. Media includes watercolor, oil paint, fabric art, photography, sculpture and more. Free, open during Visitors Center hours.

Night Hike - Friday, Aug. 17 from 9 - 11 p.m. Experience The Arboretum at night! Kids and adults are welcome to attend one of our most popular programs as we hike through collections, grasslands and woodlands. Night Hikes are for individuals, couples and families. Scout troops and other groups are asked to call The Education Department for current program offerings, just for scouts and groups. Meet at the Visitors Center Deck. Free, donations welcome.

The grounds are open from dawn to dusk. The Visitors Center is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays and holidays. For more information visit www.dawes arb.org

Queen of the Lake Public Tours - Buckeye Lake. Enjoy a relaxing and interesting tour of Buckeye Lake at 2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday aboard the Queen of the Lake II. Farmers Market - Buckeye Lake. Find local produce, crafts and more from 3 - 6 p.m. on Thursdays in the Buckeye Lake Goodwill store parking lot.

Classic Boat Regatta - Buckeye Lake. The Buckeye Lake Yacht Club is open to the public for its Annual Classic Boat Regatta on Saturday, August 18. Best times are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Outdoor grills and bar will be open. Boat displays from local marinas plus entertainment. Ad- mission is FREE.

Granville Street Scenes - Granville. Granville Street Scenes Artisan and Merchant Show runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24 and Saturday, Aug. 25. Vendors from Vermont, Indiana, West Virginia, and Ohio who will have many lovely and unique items for sale along Broadway in downtown Granville. Visit www.granvilleoh.com for more information.

Fall Hookahville - Pataskala. Hookahville is an Ohio music festival institution celebrating its 19th year in 2012. Fall Hookahville 2012 will be held on August 23-26 at Frontier Ranch in Pataskala.
