Henry & Elizabeth Shover will lead Sweet Corn Festival parade

Editor:

On Wednesday, August 29, the Millersport Lions Club will host the 66th Annual Sweet Corn Festival Grand Parade. We are pleased to announce that Henry and Elizabeth Shover will lead the parade on the Commodore Bank float as this year’s Grand Marshals.

Henry and Elizabeth are being honored for their 40 years of unselfish service as vital volunteers and leaders of the Sweet Corn Festival, Henry’s management of the Millersport Lions’ Christmas & Catastrophe Fund and his many years of service to the Walnut Township School District, Elizabeth’s coordination of the bimonthly Community Red Cross Blood Drives and her community beautification projects as a member of the former Millersport Garden Club, and their dedication to the Lancaster Old Car Club.

They are truly two individuals whose unwavering volunteerism has made a difference in the lives of thousands. So on August 29 we hope you will join us in recognizing Henry and Elizabeth Shover as the Grand Marshals for the 2012 Sweet Corn Festival Grand Parade when it kicks off at 6:00 p.m.

Ron Keller, General Chairman
