Thanks from Friends of BLASST

Editor:

To all the businesses, organizations and individuals who contributed to the Buckeye Lake fireworks display which lit up the skies Tuesday, July 3rd, Friends of BLASST would like to say THANK YOU! Without your support we could not have had the beautiful show that thousands enjoyed.

Please look to your right on Page 5 for what we hope is a complete list of our donors. We have tried to make sure that everyone who sent us a donation is on the list. If by chance you were missed, please accept our deepest apology.

There are several acknowledgements that deserve special mention... Hal Harper and his team from ODNR; all of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Park and Watercraft officers on the water; area police departments and sheriff’s offices; and area fire departments. Many of them volunteered their time to keep you safe.

We owe a big thank you for all of the support from Buckeye Lake Marina and The Beacon’s free advertising. Thanks to Ross Fleming of Family Dollar for the envelopes. Thanks to the volunteers who stuffed envelopes and solicited donations.

Without all of these people offering their time, experience and donations, we would have missed seeing one of the best fireworks shows ever over our beautiful Buckeye Lake. It is truly a community effort.

Friends of BLASST

P.S. We have received two checks already towards next year’s show!!!!! Keep them coming!!!

Editor’s Note: Terry Dupler deserves a huge THANK YOU for processing nearly 500 donations, keeping records straight and serving as our point person.

BLASST co-founder Tory Wolfe didn’t really go cold turkey though she has certainly earned her announced retirement from BLASST. She was a valuable resource and pitched in where ever she was needed.
