Baltimore Festival 5K set for Aug. 11
BALTIMORE – The 21st Annual Baltimore Festival 5K Road Race is set for 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, at Johnson Park in Baltimore. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. Directional signs will be posted to guide outof town participants.
The 5K (3.1 mile) running event will take place on paved and patrolled residential streets in Baltimore. All runners will be provided free parking for the festival. This race is for serious runners, joggers, and walkers, with both overall awards and age group awards.
Preregistration is $15, with race day registration $20. The first 300 participants registered will receive a T-shirt. Water and fruit are provided at the finish line. Door prizes from area businesses will also be awarded.
To celebrate the race’s 21st anniversary, former Liberty Union track and cross-country athletes are invited to attend the event either as a runner or race supporter.
A get-together for former athletes is planned for noon at the Landis Farm, 2665 Reynoldsburg- Baltimore Road. All are welcome.
