Dawes Arboretum - Ohio 13, three miles north of I-70.
Walk with a Doc - 10 a.m. on Saturdays, June 23. Walk with a Doc was created by Dr. David Sabgir, a board-certified cardiologist who practices with Mount Carmel Clinical Cardiovascular Specialists. The Arboretum is collaborating with WWAD to help encourage healthy, physical activity in people of all ages, and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle. Improve your health and well-being by joining a walk and getting tips from a physician. Free. Meet at the Visitors Center Deck to get started!

Queen of the Lake Public Tours - Buckeye Lake. Enjoy a relaxing and interesting tour of Buckeye Lake at 2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday aboard the Queen of the Lake II. Cranberry Bog Day - Buckeye Lake. You don’t have to win a lottery to visit the nationally unique Cranberry Bog. Just show up between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at the North Shore boat ramp. Visitors will board the Queen of the Lake for a short ride to the floating bog and a guided tour. Pancake Breakfast - Thurston. Join the Thurston-Walnut Township Firefighters Association for breakfast at the firehouse from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 16. The menu is sausage, pancakes, eggs, sausage gravy, biscuits, coffee, milk, tea and orange juice. The suggested donation is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Firefighters will be happy to answer any questions about the department or your health. Tshirts and reflective address signs will be available for purchase. Pick-up orders are welcome. Dulcimer Days - Coshocton. This is the longest running heritage music festival in Ohio and the second oldest event of its kind in the United States. This year marks the 38th Anniversary of this nationally significant Appalachian musical event, which will be held in Historic Roscoe Village on June 15-17. Adults may bring in their favorite comfort food along a with a recipe card to share with others. Discussion will focus on favorite recipes, cookbooks, and food fiction.
P.T. Reptiles - Buckeye Lake. Join us at the Buckeye Lake Library at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 25, as we welcome the famous P.T. Reptiles. If you like snakes, spiders, lizards and more then you will love this program. Free and open to the whole family.
Kid’s Fishing Derby - Thornport. AMVETS Post 51 is sponsoring a Kid’s Fishing Derby from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, at the post. All kids 12 and under are welcome. Please bring your life jackets and fishing poles. Contact Danielle Smathers at 740-973- 4241 to sign up.
Thorn Dunker 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament – Thornville. The annual 3 on 3 Thorn Dunker returns Wednesday, July 4, to the streets in downtown Thornville. Games begin at 1 p.m. on 10+ courts. Divisions for both boys and girls are: 8 and under, 9 & 10, 11 & 12, 13 & 14, 15 & 16, 17 & 18, 19 - 25, 26 - 35, and 36 and over. Entry fee is $70 per four-person team. All players receive a t-shirt. Top two teams in each division will receive trophies. Proceeds fund scholarships for local high school graduates. Registration deadline is June 23. St. Rose School Festival- New Lexington.
