E. Myrtle Brickey
E. Myrtle Brickey, 92, of Baltimore, passed away at the Homestead Nursing Home in Lancaster, on May 22, 2012. She was born April 17, 1920, to James and Sarah Belle Tackett Qualls. She is survived by daughter, Patricia (Gene) Redecker of Grayson, KY; son, John (Daryl) Brickey of Baltimore; six grandchildren, Ray, Randy (Tammy), Rich (Jodi), and Rusty (Cami) Redecker, Renee (Rob) Parsons, and Rachel (Eddie) Barker; six great grandchildren, Stephen, Brandon, and Cassie Barker, Sarah and Hannah Parsons, and Madi Redecker; special niece, Bertie (Bob) Hilyard; brother-inlaw, Carl Brickey of Grayson, KY; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph; sisters, Carrie Reynolds and Becky Boggs; and brothers, Willie, John, Orville, Roy, and Clarence Qualls.
Myrtle was a member of the Anticoh United Baptist Church of South Portsmouth, KY.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home in Baltimore, where friends may call Thursday, May 24, from 3-8 p.m. Myrtle will be moved to the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, for a funeral at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25, with Andy Williamson and J.D. Riggs officiating. Interment to follow at the Qualls Cemetery in South Portsmouth, KY.
