Gloria Jean Garee
Gloria Jean Garee, 58, of Croton, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 2, 2012, with her family at her side.
Gloria was born on December 13, 1953, to Isaac Wolfe and Lillian Hall. She worked as a tax professional at H&R Block in Johnstown. But, above all, she devoted herself to being a mother, grandmother, and guide to those she loved dearly. Her well-known dining room table and her entire life were filled with laughter and love.
She enjoyed 41 years of marriage to her husband, John M. Garee. She is also survived by her sons, Brent (Kim), Brad (Debbie), and Brett (Jeni) Garee, all of the Croton area; eight grandchildren, Katie, Bryant, Kendra, Logan, Caleb, Graham, Emma, and Kora; sister, Connie (Luke) Fry of Croton; brother, Clarence David Wolfe of Delaware; nieces and nephews, Adonica ( Joe) Ungericht, Buffy (Stacy) Cranor, Jeana Fry, Chad (Georgie) Wolfe, and many other special nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; dear friend, Joan Bonaventura; a host of friends from H&R Block; and her mother.
Gloria was preceded in death by her father; and her brothers, Daniel and Ronald Wolfe.
Calling hours will be Thursday, April 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Croton Church of Christ. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, April 6 at 10:30 a.m., also at the church.
