Millersport teachers thanked

Editor:

I would like to take the time to publicly thank three Millersport teachers: Mrs. Lori Dupler, Mrs. Alison Picklesimer, & Mrs. Jennifer Sponseller. These three teachers all took time out of their schedules to help seven students prepare for Destination Imagination – an organization that provides educational programs for students to learn and experience creativity, teamwork and problem solving.

As a result of their tutelage, the students went to a district competition and were able to take first place. They now advance to Columbus to take part in a statewide competition on April 21, 2012.

Worth praising is the fact that these teachers spent time with these children when they had no obligation to help the students. The teachers took the initiative to find out about this program, and then worked with the children and gave guidance, allowing them to take first place. Again, it is worth noting that the teachers took on this event using their free time - inside and outside of school.

The children put in a lot of effort into being successful – holding a bake sale and a dance to earn the money for the entrance fee and supplies for the project. But none of this would have come to fruition without the teachers.

Thank you, Mrs. Dupler, Mrs. Picklesimer, and Mrs. Sponseller!!
