Linda passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012, with her best friend and companion, Sam Schilling and Hospice of Central Ohio by her side.
She was born on December 6, 1947, the daughter of Richard and Geraldine Hamm. Linda graduated from Sheridan High School in the Class of 1966. She joined the Army soon after graduation. She was employed at Western Electric, Kelly Printing, Eddie Bauer/Spiegel and Wal Mart. Linda had a heart of gold. She was always well liked by her coworkers and a friend to all. She would always make you laugh - her zest for life was intoxicating. Linda spent years being a Cub Scout pack leader and Boy Scout leader with her son, Kevin. She had a gift for crafting, painting, sewing and floral arranging. Many would see her at local festivals and craft shows selling her wares. She loved driving and owning FAST cars. She enjoyed many weekends at Columbus Motor Speedway and was a NASCAR fan. Linda loved gardening and canning her own veggies. She was known for her beautiful flower gardens and was so disappointed when last year she physically couldn’t do it anymore.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Edward Neff of Thornville; her foster son and his family, Joshua (Jayna) Roberts of Lancaster; father, Richard E. Hamm of Chapel Grove Inn, Heath; sisters, Martha (Barry) Klinikowski of Jacksonville, Florida and Kar- en (James) Harrison of Hebron; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Hamm in 2001.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society , Ohio Division, 555 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH 43017.
God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be, so he wrapped his arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.”
