Stephen Miller-Cobb

Stephen (Steve) Miller-Cobb, age 57, passed away January 23, 2012. Born in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, Steve lived his entire life in the Tallmadge, Cuyahoga Falls, and Silver Lake areas. He graduated from Tallmadge High School in June, 1972, and took mechanical engineering classes at The Akron University. Steve took over the family business, C & C Machine. Steve has been an active member of the Akron Machine Shop Association where he served in numerous capacities, including President. Steve was also an active member of the Masons. He was a Master Mason in Cuyahoga Falls Lodge No. 735 Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, Royal and Select Masons of Ohio Council No. 144, Royal Arch Masons of Ohio Chapter No. 225, a Knights Templar Cuyahoga Falls Commandery No. 83, and a member of Shriners International, Tadmor Shrine Clown Unit.

Steve is preceded in death by his biological father, Delbert Eugene Miller; and grandparents, Frieda Miller Leaver and George F. Leaver, John and Martha Cobb, and Elizabeth Lance.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Miller-Cobb of Cuyahoga Falls; sons, Tyler of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Trevor of San Jose, California; one grandchild, Keilani; ex-wife, Vicki (Cobb) Farinacci of Cuyahoga Falls; his loving mother, Mary Lou (Miller/ Cobb) Zimmerman of Green; his loving father, William J. Cobb (Gladys Cobb) of Silver Lake; three sisters, Debbi Popo (Vince) of Millersport, Karen Pagano of Seven Hills, Ohio, and Tina Christiansen (Charles) of Monticello, Minnesota; half sisters, Dr. Suzanne D.V.M. (Greg) Hogue of Gustavus, Ohio, Patty Cooley of San Bernadina, California, Charlene Manuto of Vista, California; half brothers, John Miller of Brimfield, Wayne Miller of Akron, and Robert (Natalie) Cooley of Akron; a special cousin, Carolee Weigand of Lincoln, Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Steve was a kind, loving gentle soul who never knowingly hurt anyone and was a friend to all. He never met a stranger. His family and friends will greatly miss him, but will meet him again someday when they follow him to Heaven. Steve was a believer in Christ, our Father.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012, at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the historic Tallmadge Circle), with Pastor Steve Bush of Millersport officiating. Interment will be at the Chestnut Hill Cemetary in Cuyahoga Falls. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012, with a special Mason ceremony at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of other remembrances, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
