Thanks for supporting food drive

Editor:

A big THANKS to everyone who supported our first annual Millersport United Methodist Youth Group food drive. Your response was overwhelming!

In all, we collected 90 full size grocery bags of canned food, boxes of mac n cheese, cereal, spaghetti sauces, and much more. We dropped off about 200 brown paper grocery bags to Millersport residents and asked them to fill them with donations for the Millersport Community Food Pantry. We returned the next week to pick them up and are now sorting your donations.

We couldn’t fit it all on our shelves and we only covered half of Millersport. We plan to hit the other half in the next couple of months. I can’t thank residents enough for their kindness and donations to the food pantry! May you all be truly blessed.

If you know someone in town that needs food assistance, have them come to the Millersport United Methodist Church on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m. or on Saturday mornings from 9-11 a.m. Food or monetary donations for the food pantry can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Once again, on behalf of the Millersport Community Food Pantry, we thank for your all of your generous gifts.
