A funeral service, celebrating the life of Irene Kincaid, 84, of Kirkersville, was held November 7, 2011, at the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with Pastor Tom Myers as celebrant. Burial followed at Kirkersville Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband of 64 years, James D. Kincaid, who preceded her in death on July 18, 2011.
Irene was born on August 19, 1927, in Kirkersville, the daughter of the late George Washington and Mary Alice (Hartman) Lyons. She was a graduate of Kirkersville High School, Class of 1945.
She adored her family, loved to spend time with her grandkids, cook and bowl. She was known for her outstanding meatloaf. She also enjoyed spending time in Florida.
She is survived by her loving family: daughters, Jamie (Mike) Cloud of Kirkersville, Joyce (George) Hughes and Darlene (Bob) Schlereth both of Hernando, FL; her son, James II (Ella) of Kirkersville; her grandchildren, Missy, Mike, Frankie, Mandy, Leslie and James III; 15 greatgrandchildren with James Kincaid IV on the way; and her many friends, neighbors and extended family.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene “Tink” Lyons.
