After graduating from high school, Doc attended Ohio State University taking pre-med courses. He enlisted in the Army in 1943. He became a first sergeant and medical technician embalmer. He left the Army in 1946 and enrolled in the Davenport, Iowa, School for Chiropractors. After his graduation in 1948, Doc set up an office in Columbus to help people with back problems. He was also very instrumental in helping other chiropractors practice in the State of Ohio.
In 1959, he purchased land on the south shore of Buckeye Lake at Thornport where he built a trailer park and boat landing. In 1985, he sold the boat landing and retired from all his work. He enjoyed the peace and quiet of his country home.
Doc loved his family and will be missed. At his request, only a private service with the family will be held. Our family wishes to express our appreciation for all the excellent care he received at the Veterans’ Hospital.
