Bethany Ellen (Walters) Hudgens

A memorial service, celebrating the life of Bethany Ellen (Walters) Hudgens, of Hebron, will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Thornville, with Pastor Rob Rucker as celebrant. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown.

Beth passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Kobacker House, Columbus, following an extended illness. The daughter of Dr. Richard Walters and Elaine (Howes) Mitchell, she was born August 1, 1959, in Kirksville, MO.

Beth is a graduate of Lakewood High School (1977) and has been employed at Crossroads Dental in Hebron for over 30 years. She is a member of the Harbor Hills Country Club, a member of AMVETS (Thornville), and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Thornville.

She is survived by her loving family: sons, Travis (Sara Midkiff, fiance) and Tyler Hudgens; mother, Elaine (Dr. Williard) Mitchell; father, Dr. Richard (Rosalie) Walters; brother, Jeff Walters; sisters, Jill Walters Cooper, Lisa Noble and Lori (Zach) Hatcher; nieces and nephews, Chloe and Letty Cooper, Rachel and Caitlin Walters, Madison Hatcher; in-laws, Gary and Sylvia Berkley; brothers and sisters in law, Michelle (Mark) Mulder, Gary (Amy) Berkley, Todd (Tina) Berkley and Scott (Lisa) Berkley; uncles, Mitchell (Linda) Howes and Michael (Rebecca) Howes; cousins, Tyler (Kim) Howes, Cari (John) Havicus and Sarah Howes; many, many dear friends; and “Punkin” (loving dog).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. “Tommy” Hudgens on November 10, 2009.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, from 4-8 p.m. at the Hoskinson Funeral Home, 285 E. Main St. in Kirkersville.
