This is it for election letters

We do NOT publish election letters in our final issue before an election. However, candidates criticized in a letter in this issue may respond specifically to that criticism next week.

Response letters – limited to a maximum of 250 words – will be accepted from the following candidates:

• Bowling Green Township Trustee candidate Jeff Chorpenning responding to charges in R. M. Vermillion’s letter.

• Bowling Green Township Trustee candidate Donald Watkins addressing claims in Jen Hensler’s and Gary Stepp’s letters.

• Union Township Trustee candidate John Slater responding to Brenda Hileman’s claim that he didn’t help Buckeye Lake sewer customers with a major rate increase

• Walnut Township Trustee candidate Bill Yates addressing George Crawford’s and Martha Lewis’ contention that he will have too much of a conflict of interest as a trustee.

Response letters must be received by 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2. They may be emailed to charlesprince@buckeyelakebeacon.net, faxed to (740) 928-7960, mailed to PO Box 152, Buckeye Lake, OH 43008 or dropped off at our Blue Heron Boardwalk Office.
