Free computer training is a hit at library

Free Computer Training is a hit at the Newark Library!

NEWARK – Licking County Library is pleased to announce 255 adults have taken advantage of the Every Citizen Online free basic computer training.

As a partner in the statewide broadband training project and sub-recipient of an ECO grant, Licking County Library received 12 new laptop computers to supply a computer lab for Every Citizen Online training.

Classes are currently offered at the Newark Library located at 101 West Main Street. Participants can register by contacting the library at 740-349-5553. Call today to reserve your spot.

The training consists of six hours of instruction that includes a basic introduction to computers, introduction to the Internet, and benefits of using the Internet. Interested Ohio adults are eligible to participate in the program, which is geared toward first-time computer and broadband users, and is being provided at more than 200 locations throughout the state.
