We Still Remember

Lake area residents didn’t forget!

Hebron Christian Church hosted a Community Service Sunday morning. Hebron Police Chief James Dean and Hebron Mayor and Madison Township Fire Chief Clifford L. Mason both took part in the service. Firefighters and police officers attended the service.

Dean’ s son, Madison Township Police Officer Jim Dean played the bagpipe before and after the service, concluding with Amazing Grace.

Pastor John Romig dedicated a Steel Cross in front of the church and Christian Slater draped it with a Peace banner. White doves were released in memory of those who lost their lives 10 years.

Sunday afternoon, the Lieb’s Island walking parade got new life. Nearly a dozen Millersport firefighters and Fire Explorers marched as this year’s Grand Marshals.

The Millersport Marching Lakers were back for the ninth time and dozens of area residents marched, led by Buckeye Lake VFW Post 1388’s color guard.
