Thomas A. “Tom” Darling

A funeral service for Thomas A. “Tom” Darling, age 66, of Hebron, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, at Hebron Christian Church, 612 West Main Street, Hebron, with Pastor John Romig officiating. Burial will follow in Licking Baptist Cemetery.

Tom passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born October 3, 1944, in Zanesville, to the late Dent and Louise (Wilson) Darling.

Tom was a graduate of Lakewood High School and the Licking County Joint Vocational School. He had been employed with Owens Corning Fiberglas and later with Newark Asphalt. He had been a mechanic for Lakeside Truck Sales and was an over the road truck driver with P & F Trucking. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Cleveland Browns, OSU football and NASCAR. He was a past member of the Moose.

He is survived by a son, Thomas “Tommy” (Cathleen) Darling of Heath; daughter, Dawn Angel Darling of Heath; grandson, Randy Aaron Darling; and a sister, Anne Slater of Hebron; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Ann Darling; an infant daughter, Kimberly Ann Darling; and brother-in-law, John D. Slater.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, September 2, at the Heath Chapel of Henderson- Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath.
