Ed Thomas, age 78, of Baltimore, died Sunday, August 14, 2011, exactly as he wanted, “with his boots on.”
He was born in Montclair, New Jersey, graduated from Penn State, and served as a Medic in the US Army. He fought Parkinson’s to a heroic standstill for more than 30 years. (We’re going to call that a win). He loved all plants, except maybe brussels sprouts and poison ivy.
He was blissfully married for fifty years to the love of his life, Ulla Dames Thomas. They raised two sons, Petersen and Danny; and two daughters, Susan Thomas Kelly and Anne Thomas. They also have three awesome grandkids, Christopher, Courtland and Chase Kelly. He is survived as well by his two sisters, Sally Milbank and Elaine Grambley and their families.
There will be a memorial celebration over Labor Day weekend at the farm.
