Delores I. Samsal
Delores I Samsal, age 89, of Pataskala, died suddenly, Sunday, August 21, 2011 at her home. She was born February 2, 1922, in Columbus, the daughter of the late William D. and Addie (Sherman) Kidwell. She ran the Outville Grocery Store with her husband, Glenford Samsal for many years. She was a member of the Tri-Village Christian Church; enjoyed cooking, sewing and her flower garden. She adored her grandchildren and their families.
She is survived by her loving family: her son, Robert Samsal of Franklinton, Va.; her daughters, Carolyn Ashcraft and Christina Green of Pataskala; eight grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Cotton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenford Samsal in 1989, and her grandson, Tony Ashcraft.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, August 25, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hoskinson Funeral Home, 285 E Main St., Kirkersville, 43033; and on Friday, August 26, 2011, from 10-11 a.m. prior to the Funeral Service celebrating her life at 11:00 a.m. at the Tri-Village Christian Church 5310 York Rd., Pataskala, with Pastor Paul Snoddy as celebrant. Burial will follow at Kirkersville Cemetery.
