Barbara Adelaide Denson
A memorial service for Barbara Adelaide Denson, age 85, of Hebron, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, at the Hebron United Methodist Church, 502 East Main Street, Hebron, with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating.
Barbara passed away July 25, 2011, and reunited with her beloved son, James Paul (2002). She was born to Clarence and Edna Bush on February 17, 1926, in Detroit, Michigan. She was predeceased by her four brothers, Irving, Bill, Harry, Robert, James; and former husband, Paul F. Denson, Jr.
Barb worked as an administrative secretary for many years. After retiring, she treasured her volunteer work at Licking Memorial Hospital and at Hebron United Methodist Church as organist. A remarkably strong woman, she dealt admirably with personal challenges, and was always available to provide straightforward and loving support to her family. She was a skilled musician, an ace bridge player and cherished years spent at Oak Beach in the Saginaw Bay area. As testament to her remarkable lifestyle, Barb lived independently until the last month prior to her passing.
Her memory will be cherished by her children, Thomas Mark (Lynne), Debra and Timothy (Deborah); her daughter-inlaw, Peggy; her grandchildren, Stephen, Danielle, Shannon, Andrew and Bekka; her greatgrandchildren, Avery and Lilli; and many dear and lifetime friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Tenth Life Cat Rescue, PO Box 178, Alpha, OH 45301.
The Heath Chapel of Henderson Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
