BALTIMORE – The “ biggest parade in Fairfield County” was a bit shorter this year, but hundreds and hundreds of residents and visitors lined Market Street for the annual spectacle. It took more than an hour for the 90+ units to pass by on the way to Johnson Park.
Many consider the Grand Parade the highlight of the fourday annual Baltimore Festival.
Five high school bands – Liberty Union-Thurston, Canal Winchester, Fisher Catholic, Millersport and Watkins Memorial – kept the beat.
This year’s Grand Marshal was Liberty Union’s 1964 State Champion baseball team.
The festival included queen pageants, baby contests, rides, entertainment, crafts and carnival food.
