Betty Lou Stewart
A funeral service, celebrating the life of Betty Lou Stewart, 86, of Thornville, formerly of Buckeye Lake, was held July 1, 2011, in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with Rev. Fr. William B. Ferguson as celebrant. Burial followed at Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg.
Betty died early June 29, 2011, in Newark, following an extended illness. She was born January 3, 1925, in Columbus, the daughter of the late Edward and Edith (Rock) Carroll. She was a retired employee of the Millersport Marina, and a member of the Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church.
Betty enjoyed gardening, birds and was an avid OSU Buckeye fan.
She is survived by her loving family: her sister, Peg (Alan) Dupler of Millersport; her niece, Kim (Kevin) Vierstra; her nephew, Steve (Cindy) Sabo of Sunbury; and her great nieces and nephews, Nicklaus and Michelle Sabo and Courtney and Connor Vierstra.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Stewart in 1972; her sister, Mary Katherine Harden; and her brother, Ed Carroll.
