Invent Lab needs electronic donations

NEWARK – The Works: Museum of History, Art and Technology is requesting donations of used electronic equipment to add to the museum’s Invent Lab. Donations are used to stock the lab with recycled electronic pieces and parts for young inventors. Children use tools to take the components apart then reassemble them into tons of awesome new inventions!

Donations may be dropped off at The Works Main Entrance at 55 South 1st St. in downtown Newark during regular business hours Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Receipts are available for tax purposes upon request. Please contact The Works at 740-349- 9277 for further details.

Preferred donation items include: Computer towers, keyboards, mice, CD and DVD players , VCR’s, 12” Laser Disk players, Telephones, Electronic Toys (Simon, Nintendo 64, Music Keyboards, etc.), Radios, Boom Boxes and Stereo Equipment.

The Works cannot accept:

Televisions, Computer Monitors, Microwave Ovens, Smoke Detectors, Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, and Large Stand Alone Printers and/ or Copy Machine
