Thanks to Cans 4 Cancer supporters

We would like to thank everyone who helped with our recycling/fund raiser called Cans 4 Cancer. We raised $419.50 of which all will go to the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW cancer relief fund. The national goal is three million dollars and our local goal is $2000.

A special thanks to Dave Roshon and his company for providing us a tractor and trailer to take the cans to the recycling site. Dave stayed with us all day Saturday and took the cans in on Monday, along with Mary Schilling. Thank you both for your time and efforts. Also thanks to Karen Souders who helped most of the afternoon and to all those nice folks who brought us cans: Buckeye Lake Eagles #2801, Thornport AMVETS, George Braden from the VFW, Jim and Dee Rogers, and many others.

This was such a success, we will do it again after Labor Day. Please save your cans for a worthy cause that helps the environment and the search for a cure for cancer.

Lauralyn V. Palmer, President
Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 1388
