Members of the Liberty Union FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) organization recently donated handmade dolls to children that are ill at Fairfield Medical Center. Shannon Tigner, Alyssa Ellefson, Maddy Shook, and Alexis Simon hand delivered the dolls to the Pediatrics Department staff on May 6. Their advisor, Candy Berry, helped the students create the dolls and was happy to be a part of this new community service. “The project is called “The Giving Doll” and it teaches my students to give back to their community by touching the lives of children that are in need of something to lift up their spirits,” said Berry. FCCLA members who worked on The Giving Doll project included: Shannon Tigner, Maddy Shook, Alyssa Ellefson, Alexis Simon, Staci Tigner, Shelby Maraugha, Bianca Piloseno, Faith Layman, Erynn Hayes, Maddie Peck, Logan Piccirillo, Tori Holstein, Taylor James, Tiffany Lawless, and Megan Van Almsick.
