Lady Lancer Ashley Kincaid gets by the tag for a fourth inning in-the-park home run Wednesday at Lakewood. The Lady Lancers beat Columbus Centennial 8-0 for their first tournament win. Lakewood is seeking an unprecedented fourth straight state softball championship. The #2 seeded Lancers drew a first round bye in the district tournament. They will face Canal Winchester at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 16, at Pickerington High School - North. The Lancers moved up from seventh to fourth in the final Division II state poll. Liberty Union Lady Lions are also expected to make a strong run in the Division III tournament. The #1 seeded Lions beat Bloom-Carroll 10-2 Wednesday at Liberty Union.
