Betty Jane Holtsberry Clark
A memorial service, celebrating the life of Betty Jane Holtsberry Clark, 84, of Hebron, was held April 22, 2011, in the Hebron United Methodist Church, with Pastor Brian Harkness as celebrant. Private burial followed at Kirkersville Cemetery.
Betty died early Wednesday, April 20, 2011, in Newark following an extended illness. She was born in Newark on July 1, 1926, the daughter of the late Walter and Doris (Yontz) Holtsberry. She was a graduate of Hebron High School, Class of 1944, and was an active member of the Hebron community, belonging to the Hebron United Methodist Church, Eagon Chapter #123, O.E.S., Hebron American Legion Auxiliary, and life member of the Buckeye Lake Post of the V.F.W.; the Buckeye Lake Historical Society, Ohio Amateur Quarter Horse Association; was founding mother advisor of Hebron Assembly, Rainbow Girls; and a member of the Hebron Red Hat Ladies.
She retired from Hoffman La Roche in Dublin after many years of service.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband, Philip Clark, whom she married on January 8, 1947; her children, Dania (Jacques) Lempers of Escondido, CA, Vic (Libby) Clark of Shelby; her two grandchildren, Angela (Brendan) Campbell of West Hartford, CT and Adam (Debbie) Abeyta of La Mesa, CA; her sister-in-law, Diana (Bill) Ours of Hebron; and her two great grandchildren, Madeleine and Fiona Campbell, of whom she was very proud.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her sister, Ramona Holtsberry.
The family requests that memorials in her honor be directed to the Hebron United Methodist Church Building Fund.
