Horn thanked for working for taxpayers

Editor:

I would like to publicly thank Walnut Township Trustee Terry Horn for taking his oath of office seriously and working for the taxpayers and voters of Walnut Township.

In reading the Beacon’s coverage of the last several meetings that concerned matters of this township and it’s fire departments, I noted that the idea that some of the people who spend the money that we taxpayers give them, found it a tedious burden to be asked to account for their actions and the money that was spent.

I’m sure they were taken by surprise since in the last decade, tax dollars appeared to be handed over with no serious oversight. Trustee Terry Horn has made it his business to find the truth and bring it to the people and to bring accountability, financial responsibility and integrity back to the manner in which this township is run.

This is how government is supposed to work.
