A funeral service, celebrating the life of Jack Yocum, 60, of Hebron, was held April 2, 2011, in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with burial following in Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown.
Jack died March 29, 2011, in Columbus, following an extended illness. He was born February 28, 1951, in Columbus, the son of the late Danny and Eileen (Manning) Yocum. He was employed at Walker Manufacturing in Hebron for many years, and also worked as a self-employed electrician. An avid hunter, fisherman and family man, Jack also adored his grandchildren and enjoyed working with wood. He was a member of the Buckeye Lake VFW Post 1388.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife (of 32 years), Jan; his sons, Joe of Hebron and Jason (Benita) of Strawberry Plains, TN; his sister, Theresa (Tim) Faryman of Buckeye Lake; brother, Danny ( JoAnne) of Grove City; his six grandchildren, Craig, Taylor, Chris, Trace, Andrew,and Alyssa Brook (who is expected in August); many nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends throughout the Buckeye Lake area.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim; and his sister, Judy.
