Foster Lee “Rocky” Campbell, Sr.

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Foster Lee “Rocky” Campbell, Sr., 68, of Hebron, will be held Friday, March 11, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with Pastor Dave Mason as celebrant. Burial will follow in Wolf Cemetery, Haydenville, Ohio.

Rocky died Monday, March 7, 2011, in Columbus, following a brief illness. He was born in Columbus on August 22, 1942, the son of the late William and Margaret (Howell) Campbell. He was retired from the Caine Corporation (formerly Structurlite) of Hebron after 42 years of service. He enjoyed bass fishing, and was a OSU Buckeye fan.

He is survived by his loving family: his wife, the former Leslie Beckett, whom he married on May 27, 1978; his five children, Christy Campbell of Newark, Foster “Stoney” (Renee) Campbell, Cody (Sue) Campbell , Corey (Mindi) Campbell, all of Hebron, and Brooke (Wesley) Hoskinson of Heath; his sister, Barbara Rosser of Washington C.H., his brother, Paul (Diana) Campbell of Heath; his brothersin law, Bob Stufflebean, Steve Ford, Scott (Jeanette) Beckett and Gary (Tami) Beckett; his 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his beloved dog, “Chloe”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sue Stufflebean and Linda Ford.

His family will receive friends on Thursday, March 10, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 E Main St in Kirkersville, where an on-line guest register and memorial tribute to Rocky are available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com.

The family has requested that memorials be directed to the OSU Medical Center Foundation, PO Box 183112, 660 Ackerman Road, Columbus, Ohio 43218- 3112, for research in his memory.
