Bacil Roscoe Casto

Bacil Roscoe Casto, Sr., age 78, of Buckeye Lake, passed away on December 16, 2010, at the Selma Markowitz Care Center at Licking Memorial Hospital. According to his wishes, no service will be held. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in West Virginia.

He was born September 9, 1932, in Braxton County, West Virginia, to the late Oley G. and Elizabeth M. (Fisher) Casto. Mr. Casto worked for many years as a Deputy Sheriff, and then later retired from Roper’s maintenance department. He was known to everyone as an electrician. Bacil enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching sports. He was a member of the VFW Post 1388, Buckeye Lake Eagles and AMVETS in Thornport.

Mr. Casto is survived by his sons, Bacil R. (Stacey) Casto, Jr. of Buckeye Lake, and Carl R. (Barbara) Casto, Sr., of Newark; daughter, Nancy L. (Carl) Young, of Bedford Heights; sisters, Ruby Brown, of Lucasville, OH, Annabell Damron, of Lucasville, OH, Opal Hinkle of New Martinsville, PA, and Thelma Haymond of Braden, PA; seven grandchildren, Christopher Young, of Ravenna, OH, Annette Young, of Bedford Heights, OH, Bacil Ryan Casto, of Buckeye Lake, Skylar Shea Blevins, of Glenford, Carl R. Casto, Jr., of Newark, James Starner, of Newark, and Michele Dobos, of Middletown, OH; former wife, Annetta L. Loughry; lifelong friends, Clay Loughry, of Pataskala, George Trace, of St. Paris, OH; many other special friends; and faithful dog, Sabrina.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy G. Casto and Bill Casto; and a sister, Rosalee Bowling.
