Phyllis Anne Phillips
A funeral service, celebrating the life of Phyllis Anne Phillips, 79, of Millersport, will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with Pastor Alberta Thompson as celebrant.
Phyllis died Sunday, December 12, 2010, as a result of injuries she sustained in an automobile accident in Licking County.
She was born in Cardington Township, Morrow County, the daughter of the late Henry D. and Anna L. (Mateer) Yake. She was a graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School, Class of 1948. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, cookie baking; and was proud of her water garden.
She was a supporter of the Twig SW-5 at Nationwide Childrens Hospital in Columbus.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband, Charles; her children, Regina (David) Gladden of Croton, Gary (Cheryl) Phillips of Kirkersville, Don (Mary) Phillips of Naples, FL, and Mark (Billie Wince) Phillips of Pataskala and Scott (Amber) Phillips of Pataskala; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her sisters, Margie Ault and Rosie Wagner; her brothers, Walter, Dewey, Dale, Stan and Lowell Yake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jon Paul Phillips; and a grandson, Zachary Phillips in 2006.
