Zollinger, Horn thanked for their efforts on Millersport fire contract

Editor,

I am writing to express my gratitude for the decision made by Walnut Township trustees Ralph Zollinger and Terry Horn to approve a new fire contract with the Village of Millersport. They are men of their word and are to be commended for approving this agreement.

I am deeply grateful to Horn and Zollinger for their hard work and ability to see the wisdom of this contract for Walnut Township. It is an important step forward for all involved. Horn and Zollinger are trustees who heard the voices of their constituents and acted in the best interest of the people they represent.

I am also deeply grateful to the residents of this community who attended meeting after meeting to make sure their voices were heard. Their persistence made all the difference. It was a grueling process, but one well worth the effort.

Last, but certainly not least, I am grateful that we are blessed with excellent fire departments in Millersport and Thurston. What make them truly great are the men and women who staff these departments. They put themselves in harm’s way everyday to protect our communities. They are more than worth the effort put forth in creating this new contract.
