Dean W. Parks

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Dean W. Parks, 77, formerly of Baltimore, was held November 27, 2010, in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville. Burial with full military honors followed at Kirkersville Cemetery.

Dean died Monday, November 22, 2010, following an extended illness. He was born March 11, 1933, in Glouster, the son of the late Chester E. and Sadie Naomi (Williams) Parks. He was a retired General Motors auto worker who loved to fish, hunt squirrels and garden. He also adored his family and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes. A 32 Degree Mason, he belonged to Albany Lodge F & AM.

He is survived by his son, Jeff (Stacey, Kirsten, Kierra) of Canal Winchester; his granddaughters, Kendra and Nicole Parks; his former daughter-in-law, Tina Parks; his great-grandson, Nicholas; his sisters, Judy (Richard) Bryson, Martha Bailey, Margaret (Willie) Stanley, Nina (James) Andrews, Winnie (Bob) Cunningham; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen on February 5, 2009; and a sister, Elaine Hammil.
