Estella L. Hupp
Estella L. Hupp, 95, of Thornville, died at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010 at The Chapel Grove Inn in Heath.
Estella was born September 28, 1915, in Hopewell Township, Perry County, the daughter of the late Obed and Aljo Gutridge Cooperrider.
She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church where she was organist for many years, a member of Thornville Senior Citizens and Perry County Homemakers. She was a 1932 graduate of Jacksontown High School, and was a homemaker and dairy farmer.
She is survived by four daughters, Linda L. (Robert) Butler of Newark, J. Earlene Stedman of Newark, Karen A. (John) Schaas of Pataskala, and Deborah S. (Steven) Love of Glenford; two sons, Terry L. (Wanda) Hupp of Thornville and Otis R. (Darla) Hupp of Glenford; 22 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three step grandchildren; and seven stepgreat grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Earl R. Hupp, whom she married May 30, 1940, and who died October 29, 1988; a son, E. Duane Hupp who died April 1, 2010; a son-in-law, Forrest Stedman; a grandson; a great-grandson; and a brother, Richard Cooperrider.
Services were held November 23, 2010, at Good Hope Lutheran Church near Glenford with Pastor Beth Bateson officiating. Burial followed in Highland Cemetery, Glenford.
