Larry A. Gamble

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Larry A. Gamble, 73, of Petal, Mississippi, formerly of Hebron, will be held Friday, November 5, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with Pastor Brian Harkness as celebrant. Burial with full military honors will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown.

Larry died Thursday evening, October 28, 2010, in Ridgeland, Mississippi, following an extended illness. He was born March 8, 1937, in Newark, the son of the late Raymond A. and Annabele (Blade) Gamble.

He served honorably in the US Army, and retired after many years of service at the Newark AFB.

He enjoyed NASCAR, OSU Buckeye & Ole’ Miss football.

He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Petal, Mississippi, along with the Petal Lions Club, the Petal Association and the Petal United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his loving family: his sister, Annette (Jerry) Price of Hebron; his niece, Mindy (Kevin) Kester; nephews, Michael and Scott (Kellie) Price; and many dear friends in Mississippi.

The family wishes to thank the Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland, Mississippi, for their expert loving care and many kindnesses shown to Larry.
