Leeana Morgan, of Thornville, recently became the first female officer on the Millersport Police Department. Mayor Dean Severance administered the oath of office in September. Morgan is a 2007 graduate of Sheridan High School and has recently graduated from the Central Ohio Technical College’s Police Academy. She is also a firefighter, holding 240 firefighting certification and serves as an EMT for the Thorn Township Fire Department. Morgan recently completed EMT-Intermediate classes and will be testing for that certification soon. She plans to continue her education in Criminal Justice and will complete paramedic training. Morgan is the daughter of Lee and Debbie Morgan of Thornville, granddaughter of Hildegard Allen of Thornville and the late Buck Allen of Somerset and Roger and Evelyn Morgan and Beverly Morgan of McConnelsville.
