Walter Fox, Jr.

Walter Fox, Jr., age 82, of Millersport, passed away, Friday, October 15, 2010, at Heartland of Fairfield Nursing Center.

He was a 1946 graduate of Pleasantville High School and class president. He retired from Penn Central Railroad. He also worked as a milkman at Wetherell Dairy. Walter was the owner of the Pleasantville SOHIO, a farmer, and did maintenance for Rem Ohio. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley J. Fox, of Millersport; children, Pamela (Merrill) Raver, of Baltimore, Norma (Terry) White, of Millersport, Greg (Doris) Fox, of Buckeye Lake, Lois (Ernest) Everitt II, of Bremen; grandchildren, Kelly (Charles) Betz, Mike (Kris) Raver, Kevin Fox, Maria Raver, and Terry Raver, Mindy Raver, Ernie Everitt III; great-grandchildren, Emma Raver, Bailey Betz, and Kyle Chandler.

Walter was preceded in death by his father, Walter Fox Sr., and mother Elsie Fox; an infant sister; brother, Donald N. Fox; sister, Bernice Snyder; grandson, Chris White; and great-grandson, Charles A. Betz Jr.

Funeral service was October 19, 2010 at Johnson-Smith Funeral Home in Baltimore, with Bishop Glen Keller officating. Burial followed the service at Hampson Cemetery in Pleasantville.
