Evelyn E. Gill
A funeral service for Evelyn E. Gill, 89 of Jacksontown was held October 9, 2010, at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Pastor Matthew Van- Winkle officiating. Burial followed at Fairmount Cemetery.
Evelyn was born in Linnville, on November 1, 1920, to the late Zack W. and Mertie (Drumm) Leaman. She passed away at Flint Ridge Nursing Center on October 6, 2010.
Evelyn was a member of Jacksontown United Methodist Church. She was a devoted homemaker and drove a school bus for many years for Lakewood School System. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, traveling to Florida, and spending time with her family. She was also a trustee for Fairmount Cemetery for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie E. (Patricia A.) Gill and Jimmy Gill; grandchildren, Nathan (Karen) Gill and Rhonda (Charlie) Rogers; great grandchildren, Grant, Emily, Kylie, Phenix, Joey, Tabie, L. Jimmy, Charlie, Misty and Natasha; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Gill in 1987; son, Jerry Lee Gill; brothers, Roy and Lewis Leaman; and sisters, Gladys Mitchell and Bertha Leaman.
