Friends of Liberty Day set for Kings Island

CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Tea Party and the Ohio Liberty Council invite you to “Friends of Liberty Day,” Saturday, September 4.

Friends of liberty from all over are invited to join together at Kings Island for a celebration of American freedom! Enjoy rides, attractions, speakers, and good company with friends and family. Catch up on the state of the nation and issues affecting Ohioans, listen to citizens tell their stories, and shake hands with candidates. You’ll meet liberty-minded groups from Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan.

Schedule of Events

10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Park open to everyone for rides and attractions

4:30 to 4:45 p.m. – “What Is the Tea Party Movement?” - International Showplace Amphitheater: An overview of the tea party movement. Open to the public

5:00 to 7:15 p.m. – “The Nation Speaks” - Peanuts Playhouse Amphitheater: Tea party speakers; Citizen speakers from Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana; and Speakers from Americans for Prosperity

5:00 to 7:15 p.m. – “Issues Affecting Ohioans” - Kings Island Theater – Serious content for advanced tea partiers only:

Ohio Freedom Alliance – “Economic and Monetary Policy”

1851 Center for Constitutional Law – “Ohio, U.S. Constitution, and State Sovereignty”

Buckeye Institute – “Solutions for Ohio”

7:30 to 8:45 p.m. – “Dinner With the Candidates” - Festhaus

Various candidates will be featured, including:

Steve Chabot, running for U.S. Congress from Ohio’s First District

Robert Owens, running for Ohio Attorney General

Dave Yost, running for Auditor of State in Ohio

Moderator – Seth Morgan

9:00 p.m. – Closing Concert with Jordon Page and Fireworks - International Street Bandstand
