Blosser to command Granville Post
Columbus – Sgt. Darrin L. Blosser was promoted to the rank of lieutenant Sept. 1 by Colonel DavidW. Dicken, Patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Academy. Lt. Blosser will transfer from his current assignment at the Lancaster Post to serve as the post commander at the Granville Post.
Lt. Blosser joined the Patrol in January 1990 as a member of the 119th Academy Class. He was commissioned that June and assigned to the Circleville Post, where in 1993 he was named Post Trooper of the Year by his peers. In October 1994 he transferred to the Lancaster Post, where in 1995 and 1996 he was again named Post Trooper of the Year by his peers.
In December 1997 he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and transferred to the Marietta Post to serve as an assistant post commander. In September 1999 he transferred to his most current assignment at the Lancaster Post.
Originally of Crooksville, Sgt. Blosser currently resides in Somerset with his wife, Susan, and their two children.
