Seventeen bands to perform in Sweet Corn Festival Parade

Editor:

We are pleased to announce that the Ohio State School for the Blind Marching Band will return to Millersport on September 1, 6:00 p.m. for a repeat performance at the 64th Sweet Corn Festival Grand Parade. They will lead a field of 16 area high school marching bands, dozens of Ohio festivals & fairs queens, numerous floats, and lots of historical vehicles and specialty units.

If you have not seen this fine group of musicians, please take the time to do so next Wednesday. They are the only blind marching band in the world and they appeared in the 120th Annual Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena on January 1. So if you love marching bands, come see 17 of Central Ohio’s best.

The Millersport Lions Club welcomes everyone to this year’s Sweet Corn Festival, September 1 - 4, at Historic Lions Park in Millersport. Come see why it’s ear-resistible!
